NEW CARLISLE - The New Carlisle Newts are once again champions of ORWBL's National League. The Newts outlasted the Olive Township Mechanics in back and forth NLCS that went the five-game distance, 14-4, 2-3 (F/7), 7-0, 2-4, 1-0. New Carlisle advances to its record 11th World Series appearance in 20 league seasons. The Newts will face the Maple City Magic, who swept the Mill Pond Pandas in the ALCS.
