Newts run ends with title game loss

NEW CARLISLE - It was nearly a storybook ending for the New Carlisle Newts and their home ballpark Migley Field on Sunday afternoon. The Newts won eight straight games over the weekend before falling to the Woo Crew in The Wiffle®Ball Championship Game, 15-9.

It was the Newts first trip to the Hometown Cup Finals since 2022, and their 10th appearance overall, tied for most in Migley Field history.

The hometown squad consisted of Sam Bull, Sam Bull, Anthony Rieff, Joey Schuster, and Noah Shail.

The Wiffle®Ball Championship drew 100 teams.
