Newts alumni reunite to bid farewell to Migley

NEW CARLISLE - It was a special day at Wiffle®Ball's Friendly Confines on Sunday afternoon. Not only did the hometown New Carlisle Newts advance to the last Hometown Cup Finals in Migley Field history, but dozens of Newts alumni gathered to bid farewell to their home ballpark.

Wifflers who have played for the Newts in the Old Republic Wiffle®Ball League and The Wiffle®Ball Championship were presented with number tiles from the manually-operated scoreboard which represented their jersey numbers during their tenure in New Carlisle.

The pregame ceremony highlighted the 20-year history of the team and the ballpark. The team also announced on Sunday that it is currently working with the Town of New Carlisle on a new home.
