NEW CARLISLE - The New Carlisle Newts (12-3) continued their hot streak on Sunday afternoon at Migley Field, sweeping the Glen Lee Skeeters, 7-6, 9-5, 13-3.

The Newts have won nine straight games for the first time since they opened the 2020 season with three consecutive sweeps.

Matt Soos continued his Cy Young campaign, earning all three victories on the mound to improve his record to 9-1.

MVP-candidate Brett Mason led the way offensively for the Newts yet again, belting six home runs and driving in 11 runs.

Aidan Cotter and Kody Webb made their season debuts in impressive fashion. Cotter went seven for 11 at the dish with three home runs, while Webb smacked five long balls in his first ORWBL appearance since the 2024 World Series.

New Carlisle is back in action next Sunday, June 14 against the Great Lakes Godfathers. Although a road series, the contests will be played at Migley Field.
