Newts stretch winning streak to six

NEW CARLISLE - Suddenly, the New Carlisle Newts (7-5) have become road warriors in the Old Republic Wiffle®Ball League.

The Newts swept the Mishawaka Meatspins at Rose Park on Sunday afternoon, 5-2, 7-0, 5-3.

Manager Tyler Shupert led the squad at the plate and on the mound. Shupe pitched three complete games, including a one-hitter in the second contest of the series. At the dish, Shupert was nine of 17 with three home runs.

Scott Soos made his 2025 season debut, belting four home runs in the series.

New Carlisle concludes their nine-game road-trip next Sunday in a World Series rematch with the Pink Pandas at Walter Metts Field in Union Mills.
