Cotter picked up the victory on the mound. Cotter was perfect through 11 batters, but a misplay allowed Garrett Ruiz to reach in the fourth. Jordan Peck immediately followed with a two-run bomb to tie it up. Peck would again homer in the sixth, Lynn Street's only other hit of the game.

Kody Webb got the scoring started for New Carlisle with a solo shot in the first, but Ruiz would tie it in the second inning with an RBI single.

In the fourth, Shupert and Webb went back to back and New Carlisle took a 3-1 advantage, which was again answered by Ruiz with a home run to cut it to a one-run game.

Soos played insurance man again, belting a two-run, two-out homer in the sixth to make it 5-2. Shail followed up with a two-run blast, and Shupert added another solo shot for good measure.
