NEW CARLISLE - It was another soggy day at Migley Field when the Mishawaka Meatspins visited New Carlisle. Much like the regular season matchup between the squads, the wet conditions and slippery field made it tough to score runs.
New Carlisle dropped the opening game of the best of three series, 2-0.
Fortunately, the Newts bounced back to win the next two, 6-1 and 6-3, to advance to the National League Division Series. It was the franchise's first playoff series win since 2019.
New Carlisle will face the Granger Panthers at Rose Park on Sunday, August 13. The best of three series starts at 1pm ET.
