Goats get series win at Migley

NEW CARLISLE - Powered by the bat of Frankie Minerva, the Twin Branch Billy Goats took care of business on Saturday afternoon at Migley Field.
The Goats won the series against the New Carlisle Newts, 4-1, 0-2, 8-3.
Minerva hit three home runs in the three-game set, including two in the opener.
For New Carlisle (3-3), offense was hard to find. Brett Mason hit three home runs of his own and drove in four of the Newts six runs for the day.
Garrett Curless pitched a complete game shutout in the game two victory, but took the other two losses on the mound.
New Carlisle is back in action next Sunday, May 24 as they host the Mishawaka Meatspins. First pitch is set for 1:20pm ET.
