FAREWELL TO OUR FRIEND(LY CONFINES)

For two decades, Migley Field has served as the home of Wiffle®Ball in New Carlisle, Indiana. The ballpark, “Mini-Wrigley,” was built in 2006 as a tribute to the Chicago Cubs and their historic home. Over the years, Migley has grown into something far beyond the simplified replicas of the iconic manually-operated scoreboard and red marquee.

Wifflers of all ages - from across America - have been welcomed to these friendly confines to swing for the ivy-covered fences and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Unfortunately, the ballpark itself cannot last a lifetime. Today, the New Carlisle Newts announce that the current Migley Field will close at the conclusion of the 2026 season.

To every player, spectator, and Migleyville neighbor, we are tremendously grateful. You have transformed a backyard into a destination rivaled only by the Federal Landmark which sparked its creation.

The New Carlisle Newts are actively working with community leaders to find a new location to sustain this unique tradition which has outgrown its backyard roots. Our goal is to ensure that New Carlisle remains “Wiffle®Town USA” for generations to come, long after the final out is recorded at the corner of Bray and Dunn. More details regarding this will be announced at a later date.

In the meantime, we plan to celebrate Wiffle®Ball’s Friendly Confines with a farewell season opening on Sunday, May 3 when the Newts host the County Line Knights. A grand farewell celebration will take place on Sunday, July 26 at the Hometown Cup Finals.
