NEW CARLISLE - For the first time since the 2013 night series, the New Carlisle Newts (4-2) lost a home series.  Emery's Army (2-1) took the third game of the weekend set at Migley Field, 9-6.

NEW CARLISLE - The friendly confines of Migley Field opened up for the 2015 season on Sunday, with the Newts (4-0) defeating arch-rival Rolling Prairie (0-1), 12-7.

SPICER LAKE -  The New Carlisle Newts (3-0) capped off an Opening Day sweep of the Spicer Lake Soggy Bottom Boys (0-3) with an 11-6 victory at Dapper Dan Field.

 

Chayse Davis (1-0) struck out five batters over five innings to pick up the win on the mound.  Longtime Newts closer Koby Keck finished it off, working a perfect sixth for the save.
